Terra Networks Partners With Socratic Technologies to Enhance Hispanic Research

In today’s click-of-a-mouse world, even market research can be turnkey, instantaneous and yield solid results. With pin-point accuracy online researchers are able to target users, obtain almost immediate feedback, and gauge the results on an on-going basis. Thus wanting to utilize their unique positions and reach a broad audience, Terra Networks and Socratic Technologies have partnered to create one of the largest Latino research panels both on and off the internet.

One of the first projects to result from this partnership is Terra Selecto. Terra Selecto is a subset of the Terra audience that has volunteered to become members of a market research panel run by Socratic Technologies. The Terra Selecto panel is divided into U.S. Hispanics and Latin Americans and provides a statistical insight about how gender, income and education levels among other categories might affect internet usage. Other important eCommerce data includes information on online research of commercial goods and services which translate into detailed buying patterns.

“We have a wealth of information from our panelists during registration, and have used it to produce studies summarizing complex research matters such as acculturation issues in relation to time spent in the U.S.” states Michele Azan of Terra Networks.

Terra Networks continues to grow as an industry leader, providing access, portal and value-added Web-based services for Hispanic consumers. According to comScore Media Matrix U.S. Hispanic panel, in June 2005, Terra Networks experienced a 56 percent increase in unique visitors and 55 percent increase in reach. This growth surpasses a 23 percent increase in reach and a 24 percent increase in unique users during the period between April 2005 and May 2005.
