Terra Launches Its First Video Community in United States Kazivu.com
Miami, FL – June 19th, 2008 – Terra, the largest Internet company in Latin America, announced today the launch of Kazivu.com, the first of a series of products specifically designed for the United States market. With Kazivu.com, Terra is inaugurating a video community that allows users to watch their favorite videos using different platforms, create channels and share with friends over the Internet.
“Terra is a pioneer company in the development of Internet-specific content and the launch of Kazivu.com in the United States represents the beginning of a global strategy that is increasingly focused on social networks and user-generated content”, says Fernando Madeira, General-Director for Terra in Latin America.
Kazivu.com can be fully integrated with the environment of social networks, such as Orkut, Facebook, MySpace, among others. “People use and exchange videos, but they lacked a way to aggregate, search and promote them in the same tool”, says Fernando Madeira.
Following the concept of collaboration that characterizes the social networks, Terra offered bloggers first-hand access to the new tool, so they could evaluate Kazivu.com as beta-testers and help the company perform the necessary adjustments before the official launch.
Kazivu.com already features channels such as "It Could be Worse TV", which presents a series of amusing situations, and "Cuteoverload.tv", with videos featuring cute animals.
