One of four qualifiers from the Caribbean, Cuba is making their fourth consecutive (Caribbean record) and fifth overall trip to the Gold Cup in 2007 … The cubanos missed out on the 2000 tournament after finishing third to second-placer Haiti (on the head-to-head tiebreaker) in the CONCACAF Interzone Playoffs … Cuba claimed their first tournament victory (2:0 against Canada) and a berth to the Gold Cup quarterfinals in 2003 … The cubanos are guided by technical director Raúl González.
