Trinidad & Tobago wins quadrangular
The hosts, Trinidad & Tobago won a quadrangular event (Digicel Shield) at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain with a 2:1 win over Mexico’s Pan American Team in the tournament final on 30 May.
Errol McFarlane opened the scoring for Trinidad & Tobago in the fifth minute, but Alan Zamora leveled it for Mexico’s Pan Am Team in the 48th minute.
Darryl Roberts notched the game-winner for the soca warriors at the 90th minute for the 2:1 final score.
In the third place match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Jean Sony Alcenat scored twice, while Ricardo Pierre-Louis added another for Haiti in the 3:0 triumph over St. Vincent & The Grenadines on 30 May.
Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago are in preparation for the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup from 6-24 June in six venues in the USA.
