Cuba travels to the U.S. on Wednesday

The Cuban national team will be traveling to the U.S. on Wednesday for their participation in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which will take place from the 6 to the 24 of June.

03/JUN/2007- Cuba is part of Group C of the Gold Cup, and will be playing in Giants Stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey) on June 8 and 10. They will face Mexico and Panama respectively.

The Cuban team will also play on June 13 against Honduras in Houston’s (Texas) Reliant Stadium.

The Cuban team is made up by Goalkeepers Odelín Molina, Danny Quintero, and Julio Aldama, Defenders Yenier Márquez, Silvio Pedro, Reysander Fernández, Jorge Luis Clavelo, and Yusvani Caballero.

The team also includes Midfielders Joel and Jaine Colomé, Pedro Faife, Alain Cervantes, Osvaldo Alonso, Gisbel Morales, Enrique Villaurrutia, and Ariel Martínez, and Strikers Léster Moré, Reiner Alcántara, Leonel Duarte, and Adonis Ramos.

Cuba earned their spot in this tournament after finishing third in the past Caribbean Cup, which was disputed in Trinidad and Tobago. They won one game, tied one game, and lost two games.
