El Salvador and Trinidad & Tobago are ready to go
El Salvador will open their Group B play against Trinidad and Tobago. The game seems like it will be very even.
7/JUN/2007-Both teams are looking to make Gold Cup history, make the final, something they have never done.
In El Salvador case, with coach Carlos de los Cobos, the farthest they have made it in a COCACAF tournament is the quarterfinals (2002 y 2003), while Trinidad, under coach Wilhelmus Rijsbergen, have made it to the semifinals in 2000.
This will be El Salvador’s fifth participation in the Gold Cup (1996, 1998, 2002, and 2003), while this is Trinidad’s seventh Gold Cup apperance (1991, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 y 2005).
