A Christmas Tree for Children
While the adults decorate the classic Christmas tree, it's also a good idea to let the kids get in on the action with their own tree. It's cheap, it's easy and above all, it's fun.
Anything goes as far as ornaments are concerned. Drawings and trinkets made at school can be used, as can the kids' favorite toys. You can even use smaller ornaments like Play-doh figurines and aluminum foil cutouts. Aluminum foil is great for making stars or small fir trees that you can hang on the branches.
A piece of yellow-painted paper glued to a cardboard backing makes a quick & easy star. The same process can be used for making little bells.
Garland to go around the tree can be made from a paper chain. Paint each ring a different color for variety.
