Decorating tips
The Kids' Table
The kids' table is a good option for parties that will have small children attending. Although it may sometimes be an accident waiting to happen, it provides the parents as well as the children with a little extra breathing room.
You can use a lower table or a corner table. Use vivid colors and paper or plastic table covers to prevent stains. You can also use fabric-themed place mats. Colorful decorations and shiny garlands are inexpensive and effective.
The Silver Table
A candelabra with gold and silver candles combined with the glassware can brighten up any table and create a wonderfully festive environment.
Arrange all your silver items (candles, ribbons, bows, pine cones, centerpieces, etc.) over a neutral table cover to make them stand out. You can make a powerful statement using white or off-white china with silver flatware. The plates will stand out against the linen and the dominant silver tones will create a warm party environment.
