5 Nativity Scenes To Choose From
The Basic Nativity Scene
A perfect solution for people who don't have much room at home, or simply don't like a crowded nativity scene and prefer something more minimal. The only figurines used are St. Joseph, the Virgin Mary and the Baby, though you can also add the ox and mule. All of them should be placed inside a manger where they can be seen. They have to be a little larger in size than normal, to give more importance to their appearance and individual features. They should be painted in warm colors, projecting love and peace (they can also have a golden color) and, there should be a white candle with a golden ribbon beneath them. Although the nativity scene is an important Christmas tradition all on its own, it would not be a bad idea to place it next to the Christmas tree or another area of the house where there are Christmas decorations, so that their festive color may contrast with the more serene beauty of the manger.
