THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM
The story of the star of Bethlehem, or the Christmas Star, originated in the Bible, which says the star guided the three Magi to the infant Jesus. During Christmastime, it is traditional to hang a star from the highest point of the Christmas tree as a symbol of guidance and hope. |

This tradition started in the Philippines, where people usually make torches in the shape of a five-pointed star to light the entrance to their home.
