THE CHRISTMAS FLOWER
The Christmas Flower is originally from Central America and some subtropical regions. It is a flower with big red petals and blooms during the latter part of the year, including at Christmastime. In some countries it is simply known as the Christmas Flower, others call it Nochebuena. |

In the United States, it is known as Poinsettia, in remembrance of Joel Poinsett, a U.S. ambassador to Mexico who made it very popular.
