TERRA NETWORKS PRIVACY POLICY



Terra Networks Operations, Inc. (“Terra”) is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our web site (“Terra Portal”). The purpose of this Terra Privacy Policy is to inform you, the User, about our policy relating to the collection and use of your personal data and information (“Personal Data”), which we may request from time to time or that we may obtain in the course of your registration or subscription to receive certain products and services offered on or through the Terra Portal. Terra may update this policy from time to time so please check back periodically. At the end of this document you will find the date on which this Terra Privacy Policy was last updated.

Note that certain products and services on the Terra Portal may be subject to specific terms and conditions regarding the protection of Personal Data, which provisions shall apply in addition to this policy with respect to such products and services.

All Personal Data will be gathered by electronic means and automatically processed and stored in our user database. While you are not required to share any particular Personal Data with Terra, please be aware that some products and services may not function properly or may not be accessible unless you provide the information indicated in a required field.

Terra uses the Personal Data to (i) manage, administer, provide, improve, and expand the products and services; (ii) to customize and personalize the products and services in accordance with User tastes and preferences; (iii) to analyze a User's use of the products and services; (iv) to create new products and services; (v) to update the existing products and services; and to (vi) send technical, operational and commercial information, by traditional and/or electronic means, relating to the products and services offered by Terra and/or third parties, currently and in the future. Also, Terra may use the Personal Data to send survey forms to Users, which Users may voluntarily complete. Terra may subcontract third parties to perform certain services in connection with the Personal Data, including without limitation, the management and storage of the Personal Data, the creation of promotions for Terra, the delivery or coordination of the delivery of communications to users who have agreed to receive such communications, provided that, such third parties have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of the Personal Data in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Terra has implemented certain security measures as required by law to protect Personal Data. In addition, while Terra cannot guarantee protection against the loss, misuse, alteration, and theft of the Personal Data outside of Terra's control, Terra uses the technical means and safeguards to avoid and prevent such unfortunate occurrences.

By providing Terra with your Personal Data, you authorize Terra to internally share that information with other companies in the Terra Lycos group, including companies that become part of the Terra Lycos group in the future. Any company within the Terra Lycos group that receives your Personal Data may use it to manage, administer, provide, expand and improve the existing Terra Lycos group products and services, and to offer new products and service. Terra may share your Personal Data with certain companies and organizations. In such cases, Terra will disclose the identity of the relevant third party, including a link to that third party's privacy policy, on the registration page at the time Terra collects the Personal Data it intends to share.

The Terra Lycos group companies and the third parties that Lycos shares Personal Data with may include foreign companies and organizations. In the event that Terra transfers any of your Personal Data to a foreign country pursuant to the terms of this Terra Privacy Policy, Terra will ensure that your Personal Data is handled securely and kept confidential in accordance with applicable international laws and standards.

Terra will disclose information about individual users to governmental or judicial authorities or law enforcement agencies, or to other individuals or entities in response to subpoena, court order, or other legal process. In matters involving a danger to personal or public safety, Terra may voluntarily provide information to appropriate governmental authorities.

Terra provides its registered users the ability to access and edit their Personal Data via the “Modificar Datos” link on the Terra user registration page at http://www.terra.com/SGUP/form_registro.htm.

In addition to the personally identifiable information that Terra actively collects when you register, we also collect anonymous information passively using cookies. A cookie is a small text file containing a unique identification number that is transferred from a Web site to the hard drive of your computer so that we may identify your computer and passively track its activities on the Terra Portal. A cookie will not reveal any personally identifiable information about you (such as your real name and address) that you have not otherwise disclosed.

Cookies allow Terra to automatically remember and recognize your Web browser when you visit the Terra Portal. To help serve you better, Terra generally uses cookies to

· Deliver products and services more efficiently. By storing certain registration and preference information on cookies or associating cookies with registration, preference or profile information stored on our computers, we can deliver products and services that use such information more quickly and efficiently for more users. This information is normally saved in an encrypted form that only Terra can interpret.

· Display advertisements. Cookies let us know whether or not a Web browser has seen a particular advertisement (so we can show you a variety of material) and count the number of advertisements displayed to a particular browser. We also use cookies to customize the advertising you see based on non-personally identifiable demographic information that you provide when you register.

It is possible to adjust your Web browser preferences to alert you when a cookie is sent to your hard drive, or to refuse cookies altogether. While Terra does not require you to use cookies, keep in mind that certain products and services will not function properly if you set your browser to refuse all cookies.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) of 1998 provides safeguards to protect children who use the Internet by regulating the online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13. Terra does not collect any personal information from Users under 13 years of age without the consent of a parent or guardian.
