Miss World 2000 is Miss India, Priyanka Chopra.
She could hardly believe the decision as Julia Morley handed her the prized sash and crown.
The first runner up is Miss Italy, Giorgia Palmas.
Second runner up is Miss Turkey, Yuksel Ak.
In an exclusive interview with Miss World Online just seconds after being crowned, Priyanka admitted it was an "immense responsibility. I'm looking forward to every bit of it."
And to her home of India she had a simple message: "I love you all."
Miss India now looks forward to a glittering year of parties and hard work making the world a more beautiful place. And if the attending Former Miss Worlds are anything to go by, an exciting life, too.
