Sonia GAZI
Age: 21
I am currently studying at the Textiles and Home Economics College in Dhaka and into my 3rd year.Bangladesh has a long tradition of excellent weaving. I would like to integrate my knowledge and experience of textiles to develop the weaving industry to international standards. I am involved in campaigns and issues as diverse as anti-drugs, child labour, save the environment with the organisation called 'Body against destructive Social Activities'. My hobbies are karate, swimming, cycling and dancing and fashion choreography. As Miss Bangladesh I would love to highlight the rich Eastern philosophy, cultural heritage of music, art and literature that have been our ancestral legacy for thousands of years. I speak Bengali, English and Hindi.
