Age: 21
I am a student and have completed my first year in law at the University of Namibia. My ambition is to become a lawyer. I excelled at netball at school and played for first team. Being Miss Namibia has created windows of personal and professional opportunities that would not have otherwise existed for me. Namibia is one of the countries in the sub-Saharan region with the highest HIV incidence. To fight this disease amongst the youth in my country is an undeniable priority. Using my title allows me to bring about a greater awareness of HIV and the need to take steps to prevent the spreading thereof. In addition I try to build bridges to encourage understanding and the need to reform where there are great disparities between those who have traditionally benefited from past practice and policies and those who have been disadvantaged by them. I speak English, Afrikaans and German.
