My mother is Swedish and my father is from Gambia. I was born and grew up in Sweden except for a couple of years, which I spent in the Gambia. In senior high school I attended a program that mainly focused on social science. After my graduation I went to London for a semester to study English and of course to experience a new culture. I have also been studying French in Paris and both these experiences have enriched my life. In Sweden I have been studying genetics. I find the way we distinguish femininity from masculinity very interesting. I would like to contribute something positive to improve the position of women. In Gambia I have noticed many differences in how the Swedish and the Gambian women are treated in the society. I find that any contribution to prevent smoking is important, especially amongst young people. At the moment I am studding filmmaking and my goal is to become a film director. Film is a powerful tool and it is possible to express all different kinds of emotions, facts, history etc., in a manageable way to reach a big audience. I speak Swedish, English and French.
