Los críticos eligen lo mejor del 2003

La película de dibujos animados "Finding Nemo" y la fantasía épica de "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" están entre las 10 películas del año del Instituto Estadounidense de Cine.

El IEC anunció la lista e incluyó películas como "The Last Samurai", con Tom Cruise y la de Russell Crowe "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World". También seleccionaron "Lost in Translation", con Bill Murray y el filme "In America."

La lista no estableció un orden y se completó con "American Splendor", "The Human Stain", "Mystic River" y "Monster".

El IEC también escogió los 10 programas de televisión del año:
"Alias"
"Angels in America"
"Arrested Development"
"Everybody Loves Raymond"
"Joan of Arcadia",
"Nip/Tuck"
"Playmakers"
"Soldier's Girl"
"24"
"The Wire."

Las películas y programas fueron escogidos por críticos de cine, académicos, miembros del IEC y cinematógrafos.
