Lord of the Rings encabeza las nominaciones al Oscar

La Academia de Artes y Ciencias del Cine anunció este martes la lista de nominados a los Premios Oscars, los más famosos de Hollywood.

'Lord of the Rings' se puso al frente con 11 nominaciones, entre ellas, a Mejor Película, Mejor Director y Mejor Guión Adaptado.

La lista de candidatos incluye a muchos de los nominados a los Globos de Oro, pero deja fuera al "Samurai" de Hollywood, Tom Cruise, quien no consiguió su nominación como Mejor Actor y cuya cinta quedó fuera de competencia en la categoría 'Mejor Película'. Su ex esposa, Nicole Kidman también quedo sin su lugar en esta 76a. edición de los premios Oscars.

La cinta brasileña 'Ciudad de Dios' (Cidade de Deus) fue nominada en dos categorías: mejor Dirección y Mejor Cinematografía.
